The December Birchbox landed on my desk last week – which has quickly become my favourite delivery to receive! This months edition is in a beautiful sparkly festive box – one that I’ll definitely be reusing as it’s so pretty!
Inside the box were 5 samples, plus two added extras – a welcome surprise!
Over the last week I’ve tried almost everything in the box, so here is a run down of my thoughts and first impressions.
Oh K! Bubble Sheet Mask
I thought I’d start with my personal favourite first! I really enjoyed using this mask – I’m already a big fan of sheet masks and how easy, convenient and fun they are to use, so I had the feeling I’d really like this one. The bubbling feature of the mask was different to anything else I’ve ever tried, and I couldn’t stop laughing at myself when I had the mask on! You could hear the bubbles fizzing up while you have the mask on, and after 15 minutes the amount of bubbles had tripled – I looked absolutely ridiculous. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the bubbles weren’t just a novelty part of the mask experience, but that they actually made my skin feel incredibly soft and look very moisturised afterwards. This one is a thumbs up from me – and I think it would be great fun to use this mask with a friend! Although that would probably not be as relaxing as it ought to be…
Benefit Gold Rush Blush
I’ve loved Benefit products for years – it’s one of the first high end cosmetic lines that I tried, and there are a couple of products from the range that I purchase again and again as I can’t live without them. So, I was happy to see this mini blush included in the box, as it’s one I’ve had my eye on for a little while. The powder is delicately fragranced which is a lovely touch that I really like, and the colour of the blush is beautiful and subtle. This one has gone straight into my make-up bag!
Rituals Aryurveda Body Cream
Rituals products are always lovely and luxurious to use, and I am already a huge fan – especially of their body creams. I hadn’t tried this one before, and it is really, really nice! The scent is Indian Rose and Himalayan Honey, giving a sweet, spa like smell that s heavenly. Lovely stuff!
Percy & Reed Totally TLC Hair Mask
Another winner for me! I love a good hair mask and try to use one at least once a week – and this is a really good one. It was lovely and thick to apply, and I left it on for about an hour while I did a few things around the home. My hair felt really soft afterwards, and I noticed the scent of the mask really lingered for a couple of days, which is something I haven’t experienced from a lot of hair masks.
LARITZY Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – Tidal
As you may (or may not) know, I never use anything on my lips other than some form of lip balm – lipsticks just simply aren’t my thing. However, this liquid lipstick is a really lovely dark pink that I may have to test out, as it is a long lasting one. Perhaps I’ll turn into a lipstick convert… who knows!
If you’re thinking of trying Birchbox out – do it! You can cancel the subscription whenever you like, and I love it. Let me know if you try it out!
Interesting products….well worth a try.😄
